Kuvan maalaus on esimerkki teoksesta, joka on aloitettu monia vuosia sitten, mutta jäänyt jostakin syystä kesken. Niin voi käydä yksittäisille teoksille, jotka eivät kuulu johonkin sarjaan tai joita ei ole suunniteltu johonkin tulevaan näyttelyyn. Tämän 2000-luvun loppupuolella aloittamani maalauksen viimeistelin vasta syksyllä 2015. Aloitetussa teoksessa oli jo holvikaarien aihioita ja päävärinä voimakas keltainen. Maalausta jatkaessani vahvistin sekä kaarimuotojen toistosta syntyvää rytmiä että lämpimien värien luomaa vaikutelmaa valosta.

The painting above is an example of an artwork that has been started years ago but for some reason remained unfinished. That can happen when an individual work does not belong to a series of works or is not planned to be shown in one of the upcoming exhibitions. I started the painting in the end of the 2000's, and finished it in autumn 2015. It already had some arch motives and yellow as a dominant colour. Later I only reinforced the rhythmic repetition of arches and the impression of light created by warm colours.
