Vietin osan heinäkuusta 2021 Tohmajärven taiteilijaresidenssissä Pohjois-Karjalassa. Päätin tutustua kunnan rajoihin ja pääreitteihin tekemällä alueesta kartan. Pohjaksi kartalle valikoitui Thomas Munron estetiikan kirjan Toward Science in Aesthetics kansiaukeama (kirjan sivuille olen maalannut ja piirtänyt vuosina 2012-2021 sarjaa Artist and the Aesthetics). Keskelle karttaa metsäinen Tohmajärvi sai vihreän sydämen.

Teos ei ole myytävänä. Muita Tohmajärvellä tekemiäni assemblaaseja (esinekoosteita & kollaaseja) tulee myöhemmin näytteille.

I spent some weeks in July 2021 at the artists' residency in Tohmajärvi, North Karelia, in Eastern Finland. I decided to learn the municipal borders and the main roads by making a map of the area on the book cover of Thomas Munro's essay collection Toward Science in Aesthetics (I have painted and drawn on that book's pages in 2012-2021 a series named Artist and the Aesthetics). In the middle of the map there is the green heart of the municipality with lots of forest.

The artwork is not for sale. Other assemblages and collages made during the artists' residency will be exhibited later.
